About me

Hey! my name is Borja Tur and I’m experienced and results-oriented Backend Developer with over 7 years of hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable software applications specializing in Node.js development. I have a strong background in backend technologies, including but not limited to Node.js, Python, Go.

I have successfully contributed to develop production grade Node.js applications for diverse purposes:

• APIs (based on microservices architecture)
• Real-time web applications (websockets)
• Data streams transformations

I have a deep understanding of Node.js frameworks like Express, Fastify, Hapi and Nest.js, allowing me to build seamless APIs and microservices as well as the features and built in modules include in the Node.js runtime. My proficiency extends to working with databases both NoSQL and SQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL) within the Node.js ecosystem, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

My passion for technology extends far beyond Node.js, I also love Kubernetes that I’ve used extensively in production environments (currently using it for running my homelab and personal websites/projects also) in addition to great experience working in cloud environments, mostly with AWS (I’m so proud to have been to Vegas twice for AWS re:Invent)
